Kaja Choma, Rest in Power and in Peace

Updated: Nov 11, 2021

Our hearts are heavy, our feelings hard to express today, as we reflect on one whom many of us knew as a warm friend and gifted colleague, a co-founder and a creative talent behind the MME Council.

She brought an eye for beauty together with professional skills and technical knowledge to bear in her work with CRAICNI and with Beyond Skin, on the TEDxStormont project, and of course here at the MME Council, among many other projects.

She was “enthusiastic, dynamic, a fast worker” and a “beautiful soul and kindred spirit”; she was “young, lovely and strong; a young person that had the capacity to mentor adults”, and an “engaging, honest, open, innovative and trust worthy human being…a rare treasure”, to quote our Vice-Chair and Chair.

There is so much more to say, but words fail. It is hard to believe that our friend Kaja is gone – one so young, who had nonetheless touched so many in the community.

Our sincere and deepest condolences to Kaja’s entire family: we wish you fortitude and courage in the difficult days ahead.

Rest in power and in peace Kaja Choma.

You will be missed but remembered always.
